In Arabic, Turkish, and a handful of languages spoken along the trade routes that once shaped Singapore, Merhaba simply means hello. It's the first word a visitor learns and often the last they remember. We chose it because that's how every Merhaba tour begins, with a genuine welcome, and the promise that the city you're about to see is more than its skyline.

Singapore is one of the most-visited cities in the world, and most travellers leave having seen only a sliver of it. The obvious landmarks get ticked off, the same routes get followed, and the quiet shophouses, the unmarked hawker stalls, and the layered communities that make Singapore actually Singapore go unseen.
Merhaba Destinations exists to change that. The tours are built around three ideas: showcasing the hidden gems most visitors never find, telling the city's story through a local lens, and treating every guest with the kind of personal attention that turns a transaction into a relationship. Every itinerary is designed for the kind of unhurried, conversational experience that turns a tourist into a temporary local.
Founder & Lead Guide
Nour Hashim is the founding guide behind Merhaba Destinations. He has spent close to two years leading visitors through the neighbourhoods that define Singapore β the heritage shophouses of Kampong Glam, the domes of Masjid Sultan, the lanes of Chinatown, the bumboats along the Singapore River, and the modern skyline of Marina Bay β with more than 100 tours led as an independent STB-licensed guide before founding Merhaba.

Every Merhaba tour caps at 20 travellers. Smaller groups mean real conversation, room to wander, and time to actually sit down for a meal instead of rushing past one.
Merhaba's guides aren't visiting Singapore. They live in it. They know the quiet hour to walk Kampong Glam, the history behind Masjid Sultan's golden domes, the Chinatown hawker stall worth the queue on a Tuesday, and the bend of the Singapore River where Marina Bay opens up. That's the difference between a tour and a memory.
We don't run a hundred tours. We run a short list of tours we genuinely believe in, designed around the parts of Singapore we know deepest.
Merhaba Destinations launches publicly in late May 2026, and the plan is to grow slowly on purpose. Over the coming year, the tour roster will expand and additional STB-licensed guides will join β guides who share the commitment to small groups and deeply local storytelling, and who don't just take travellers somewhere, but help them understand it.
